Congress Chintan Shivir | Views Passionately Discussed, Amicable Solutions Found: Shashi Tharoor

New Delhi: Senior Congress politician Shashi Tharoor said on Sunday that the political committee's deliberations at the Chintan Shivir, which was formed to tackle important concerns confronting the party and the country, saw opinions "passionately debated" and "amicable solutions found," news agency PTI reported.
The Nav Sankalp Chintan Shivir, according to Tharoor, was a good occasion to catch up with party comrades from throughout the country, including M Pallam Raju and Mani Shankar Aiyar.
Tharoor claimed they gathered for a group photo after deliberations were ended on Saturday night, posting an image with some members of the political committee set up by party president Sonia Gandhi to oversee the discussions on the matter.
"The discussions were a robust example of inner-party democracy in action: views passionately debated and amicable solutions found," said the Thiruvananthapuram MP, who was one of 23 leaders who wrote to Gandhi in 2020, requesting large-scale reforms.
Taking to Twitter, Tharoor said, “Was invited to join a group selfie of @MahilaCongress delegates at the #NavSankalpChintanShivir. A varied & diverse turnout was a feature of the @incindia event."

Tharoor is a member of the politics committee, which is chaired by Rajya Sabha Leader of Opposition Mallikarjun Kharge.
The 'Chintan Shivir' debates, which began on Friday, will end on Sunday. The findings will be documented in the form of a declaration. The Congress Working Committee (CWC) will convene later on Sunday to examine a draft of the declaration.
